Found by Fearon Steele: a hand forged chain that appears to be horse hardware. It has likely been here since Johnny Grant Jr.'s time.

A bit of pleasing irony, given these Grants -aka The MacRobbie Grants of Trois-Rivieres- are linked to the Chiefs of Grant through the renowned 'horse Grants', the MacRobbies.

Grant brothers Mike and Peter (holding presentation) presenting Lord Strathspey with a copy of their father's thesis. The thesis, Fort Hall On The Oregon Trail, completed Louis Seymour Grant's Masters of History program at the University of British Columbia in 1938. Their paternal gr-gr-gr grandfather, Richard Grant, was appointed HBC Chief Trader in 1841. Richard Grant made Fort Hall fiscally secure and was in charge of the area during the country's enormous western migration.
